Motor Vehicle Technician
We are looking to recruit an experienced and professional Vehicle Technician for our busy and expanding workshop.
We are looking for skilled, experienced Technicians who are flexible in their approach to work, display an attention to detail, and who work well in a team environment.
Ideally you will come from a Main Dealer background and understand the pressures of performing to high standards in a busy Main Dealer workshop.
You will need to be a fully qualified Vehicle Technician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). MOT tester an advantage but not essential. You will need hold a full clean driving licence, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce an exemplary quality of work in a busy environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for yourself and your team. You will have a full understanding of the importance of delivering 'Complete Customer Satisfaction' in this fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be working as part of a team with the focus & passion to excel at every challenge. A smart appearance, good communication skills with a flexible approach are essential. Working conditions and career prospects are excellent, plus appropriate on-going manufacturer training will be provided.

Parts Advisor Apprentice
Maidstone Motor Group are currently seeking a Parts Advisor Apprentice to join our dealership. This is an exciting role with first-class training and outstanding long-term career prospects. The comprehensive programme provides you with an exciting and challenging opportunity to achieve formal qualifications through extensive product training as well as building up confidence and gaining valuable work experience whilst undertaking the role.
Duties will include:
•Ordering car parts using on-line systems
•Chasing up missing or incorrect parts with suppliers
•Packaging and returning any unused/unwanted parts
•Regular communication with mechanics
•Liaising with customers to let them know when parts have arrived
•Inbound and outbound telephone calls
•Advice and guidance of products
•Drive the department forward with external sales and to maximise sales at every opportunity
•Working to a high level of customer service at all times and remain courteous and polite to customers
Excellent communication skills; passionate about the automotive industry; forward thinking and keen to learn with an interest in development and progression; hardworking; punctual; reliable; ability to use own initiative; must have a ‘can do’ attitude; polite and courteous.
3 GCSE’s at grade A* to C (or equivalent) including maths, English and ICT.

There is high potential of a permanent role with the organisation upon successful completion of your apprenticeship with room for progression. Your salary wll be reviewed throughout your apprenticeship.
Other important information:
The current National Minimum Wage (NMW) rate for apprentices is £3.30 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged over 19 in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.

Working hours: 40 hours p/w Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm
Starting Salary: £3.30 per hour
