We acquired the Slated Barn Garage in 1995 and re-opened the site with attended petrol pumps and workshops, servicing all makes of car and providing an MOT service.
In 1996 The Slated Barn Garage began to sell used cars, building up a reputation for quality, reliability and friendly service. In 1997 we were offered the Kia franchise. The combination of our reputation, coupled with that of Kia, resulted in steady growth and by 1999 we were beginning to outgrow our site. Reluctantly the petrol side of the business was closed in July 1999, releasing valuable space to display the Kia range.
Newbarn was acquired in 2002 to enable us to display the expanding Kia range. The decision was made to invest £120,000 on building a brand new showroom at Newbarn. The work began in October 2003 and it opened in January 2004. As well as investing in our showroom we have also installed a brand new computer system to replace our current ‘stone age’ one! This will enable us to keep our customers’ data totally up to date.
