Whatever you expect or think you know about Kia, we go one step further. It proves our fixation with quality – it explains why so many people choose our cars, and why we keep growing all over the world. Plus, with our state-of-the-art European Factory, the future is brighter than ever for Kia Motors.
In 1900 amidst the
beauty of the Lakeland Langdales, the late Robert Smith established a
business selling and repairing bicycles, a far cry from the business of
today's Rayrigg Motor Group.
In 1931, Robert Smith died, only to
pass the business on to his only son, Neil Smith, who made the decision
to incorporate automobiles in the business, specialising in British
Leyland models by Austin, MG, Wolseley, Rover and Triumph.
Based
in the Windermere area, R Smith Ltd provided people throughout
Westmorland with quality service and the latest in automotive design.
Since this time, Neil Smith's two sons David Smith and Robert Smith
became involved in the business, re-locating the premises to Rayrigg
Road, Bowness-on-Windermere and renaming the company 'Rayrigg Motors
Ltd'.
We have now been supplying and looking after Kia cars in
the South Lakes for 5 years, and are proud to be a part of this rapidly
expanding franchise.
